September 12 at 9/8c

Hosted by: Chelsea Handler
Location: Los Angeles, CA

Last year, MTV hosted the Video Music Awards in its birth place, New York City. But this year, it's time for a change of scenery, and the VMAs will take it to the West Coast when the show airs live from Los Angeles on September 12.

And after 27 years, you know that when you tune in, you'll be treated to an unforgettable awards ceremony starring the biggest A-list presenters and rockin' performances from your favorite artists, plus plenty of Moonmen to give away.

So who's going to take us on an unforgettable ride through this star-studded night? Comedienne Chelsea Handler is confirmed to host the 2010 VMAs! Don't worry, she's no stranger to hosting TV programs - she's been the wisecracking anchor on her late-night show "Chelsea Lately" since 2007. Known for her tongue-in-cheek commentary, Chelsea's honest and witty banter won her the honor of being the second woman to grace the VMA stage as a solitary host, followed by Roseanne Barr in 1994. Whew, it's a been awhile. Let's hear it for the girls!

And of course, when it comes to the VMAs, expect the unexpected. Who knows what kind of award show memories the 2010 VMAs will chalk up? But if years past are any indication, the possibilities are endless. Who can forget just last year when Kanye West hijacked Taylor Swift's acceptance speech?!

So who will dominate with the most Moonmen at this year's show? Be sure to tune into the 2010 show to find out. And don't forget that while voting for most categories is now closed, you can still vote for Best New Artist, which will remain open into the show. Stay tuned for more details and be sure to take your front-row seat for the action, live, Sunday, September 12, at 9/8c. Don't miss out!

Kobe Bryant Feeling Good After Surgery

by dicoy on Nov.22, 2009, under

"Nearly four weeks after undergoing successful arthroscopic knee surgery, Kobe Bryant was moving well Saturday morning at a Nike basketball clinic at Rucker Park in Harlem to celebrate the World Basketball Festival. Later Saturday, Bryant made a guest appearance at Niketown and watched a private scrimmage between Team USA and the Chinese national team at Madison Square Garden. The reigning NBA Finals MVP, whose surgery was reported by the Lakers on July 23, led youngsters through different drills at Rucker Park and at one point stopped a layup line to demonstrate proper technique."

3 Doors Down.. LOVE ME.. When I'm Gone

by dicoy on Nov.22, 2009, under

For you bro..I know this is one of your fave band,,, three doors down song "When I`m gone"...I add the lyrics for them to know who you are!

When I'm Gone lyrics

Songwriters: Roberts, Matt; Harrell, Todd; Arnold, Brad; Henderson, Chris;

There's another world inside of me that you may never see
There's secrets in this life that I can't hide
Somewhere in this darkness there's a light that I can't find
Maybe it's too far away, maybe I'm just blind
Maybe I'm just blind

So hold me when I'm here, right me when I'm wrong
Hold me when I'm scared and love me when I'm gone
Everything I am and everything in me
Wants to be the one you wanted me to be

I'll never let you down even if I could
I'd give up everything if only for your good
So hold me when I'm here, right me when I'm wrong
You can hold me when I'm scared you won't always be there
So love me when I'm gone, love me when I'm gone

When your education x-ray cannot see under my skin
I won't tell you a damn thing that I could not tell my friends
And roaming through this darkness I'm alive but I'm alone
Part of me is fighting this but part of me is gone

So hold me when I'm here, right me when I'm wrong
Hold me when I'm scared and love me when I'm gone
Everything I am and everything in me
Wants to be the one you wanted me to be

I'll never let you down even if I could
I'd give up everything if only for your good
So hold me when I'm here, right me when I'm wrong
You can hold me when I'm scared, you won't always be there
So love me when I'm gone

Maybe I'm just blind

So hold me when I'm here, right me when I'm wrong
Hold me when I'm scared and love me when I'm gone
Everything I am and everything in me
Wants to be the one you wanted me to be

I'll never let you down even if I could
I'd give up everything if only for your good
So hold me when I'm here, right me when I'm wrong
You can hold me when I'm scared, you won't always be there
So love me when I'm gone

Love me when I'm gone, whoa
Love me when I'm gone, when I'm gone
When I'm gone, when I'm gone

Mayweather vs Pacquiao: Latest News & Updates
Money vs. Manny Only On Tirades

It was one hell of a fight the boxing world wants to witness. Manny “Pacman” Pacquiao vs. Floyd “Money” Mayweather, Jr. Two of boxingdom’s pound-for-pound kings waiting for the richest fight in boxing history to happen. Disagreements on the Olympic style drug testing forced the cancellation of the fight which was scheduled on March 13, 2010, with the fighting congressman ultimately facing the African Joshua Clottey in a very lackluster match. Mayweather also faced the ageing Shane Mosley in a very lopsided encounter, preserving his unblemished professional record.

The Mayweather-Mosley fight reportedly generated 1.4 million pay-per-view buys while the Pacquiao-Clottey fight attracted only 700,000 PPV buys. Had Pacquiao fought Mayweather, the match could have been an all-time record breaker in television revenues and gate attendance.

Fans were at rage when Mayweather made racist comments against Pacquiao, purposely to get media attention when all publicity was now focused on the Pacquiao fight with Antonio Margarito. But Mayweather recently apologized for his dishonorable tirades, while the Pacman, who took it professionally and behaved honorably, was not affected by the fume and decided to concentrate on the Margarito fight instead.

Mayweather asked Pacquiao to undertake random blood and urine testing until the fight day during the first negotiation. But Pacquiao said he will undergo blood and urine testing up until 14 days before the fight, for the reason that extracting blood too close to the fight day will weaken him. The Mayweather camp suspected that if a boxer is tested prior to a 14-day period leading up to a match, that boxer can still cheat by taking performance enhancing drugs.

On the second negotiation, Pacquiao agreed to submit himself to both blood and urine testing as desired by the Mayweather camp and only the signature of Floyd Mayweather was lacking to finalize the deal that could have earned both fighters at least $40 million each. Mayweather was then given a two-week deadline for the fight contract to be signed. Arum also announced that Pacquiao accepted the terms of the random drug testing, blood and urine, leading up to the fight.

But no actions were done by Mayweather until the deadline imposed by the Pacquiao camp. When all negotiations were finally put to an end, Mayweather declared through the Associated Press that he had fought sixty days ago and that he was not rushing into fighting especially with Pacquiao. He was using all the reasons in the world to evade fighting the Filipino icon.

The Mayweather team denied any negotiations taking place for a super fight but Bob Arum insisted that Oscar de a Hoya stated that they were “very, very close in finalizing the contracts.” It was obvious that the Mayweather camp was not keen on facing Pacquiao. A victory by the pound-for-pound king over the loud-mouthed former king would put the undefeated fighter into boxing oblivion. Obviously, he would rather challenge lesser opponents first and would meet the Pacman when Money is ready to retire.

Meanwhile, Mayweather tried to keep catching media attention in order not to be forgotten by boxing fans. The last fight with Mosley maybe a television blockbuster as far as pay-per-view is concerned, but a Pacquiao-Margarito match could be much better than the Mayweather-Mosley yawner.

Fight proposal sent to Floyd for OK – Arum

MANILA, Philippines – Top Rank, Inc. big boss Bob Arum said it is all up to Floyd Mayweather, Jr. if he wants to finally face off with 7-division world champion Manny Pacquiao on November 13.

“The question is whether Mayweather is willing to go into the ring this year. It’s up to him. His people would love him to do it. He may not want to do it. If Mayweather wants to fight in November, I believe the fight will be made,” Arum told Kevin Iole of Yahoo! Sports.

“To me it seems – it seems, and say that, because I’m not Mayweather – that the only issue is whether he wants to fight in November,” he continued.

Mayweather and Pacquiao both scored victories this year over Shane Mosley and Joshua Clottey, respectively.

“I think the only question is whether Mayweather is prepared to fight now,” said Arum. “He may say he’s had his fight for the year and that’s it and that we’ll address it again next year. He might say that. I don’t know. I don’t know. But that’s what I’m hypothesizing.”
Mayweather’s representative, Golden Boy Promotions CEO Richard Schaefer, only had a two-word reaction to Arum’s latest pronouncement: “No comment.”

Arum then said that if Mayweather refuses to fight for a second time this year, the Pacquiao-Mayweather mega fight would be held on May 2011.

Mayweather Sr. also says Pacquiao ‘one of the biggest faggots on planet’

MANILA, Philippines – Floyd Mayweather, Jr. may be getting flak for reportedly snubbing the deadline to fight Manny Pacquiao. But for his father, Floyd Mayweather, Sr., it is the other way around.

“Yeah, he’s scared,” the elder Mayweather said of Pacquiao in an On the Ropes Boxing Radio interview as quoted by The Mushroom Mag.

“The only thing they’re trying to do is to switch this around and make it look like it’s my son that’s scared. He ain’t the one that’s scared. I know who’s scared for real,” he added.

Floyd Sr. went on to say to say a mouthful about Pacquiao’s fear of Floyd Jr.

“He ain’t got no problem with fighting all the big guys—[Oscar] de la Hoya, Ricky Hatton, the other African guy, the other guy who he fought with the title. I’m just saying he beat these guys, [Miguel] Cotto, he beat all these guys like they’re nothing. Pacquiao’s one of the biggest faggots on the planet,” said Mayweather Sr.

He stated, “My problem is, Bob Arum don’t call no f*cking shots. Bob Arum don’t call the shots. The fight can be made anytime they want the fight to be made. Little Floyd definitely ain’t scared of no Pacquiao. That’s the last thing in the world that little Floyd is scared of, a little Filipino midget. Definitely that’s not the case.”

He also said that the deadline snub is just Arum’s ploy to picture his son as the nemesis in the Mayweather-Pacquiao saga.

“Yes he’s trying to make little Floyd like bad but people already know what time of day it is. Of course, he’s trying to make little Floyd look bad because he’s with Pacquiao. When he was with my son he was trying to make him look good and everybody else look bad.”

Pacquiao (51-3-2, with 38 KOs) and Mayweather (40-0, with 25 KOs) were supposed to face off on March 13. Their rescheduled November 13 bout will most likely not push through as Arum is already eyeing to replace Floyd Jr. with Antonio Margarito of Mexico or Miguel Cotto of Puerto Rico.

Floyd Sr. commented on the possible Pacquiao-Cotto rematch: “Why is he going to fight Cotto again? Why? All this is, is just a game. If you see what the whole thing is, Bob Arum is giving Cotto a title and then turning around and letting Pacman beat Cotto up again and take it again. That’s all it is. That’s all it is. It’s so plain to see a blind man can see that.”

The "Painter"

by dicoy on Nov.22, 2009, under

No other artist is more associated with the term Modern Art than Pablo Picasso. He created thousands of paintings, prints, sculptures and ceramics during a time span of about 75 years. For many Picasso is the greatest art genius of the twentieth century. For others he is a gifted charlatan. Undisputed is the fact that he influenced and dominated the art of the twentieth century like no other modern artist.

Pablo Picasso was born on October 25, 1881 in Malaga, Spain, as the son of an art and drawing teacher. He was a brilliant student. He passed the entrance examination for the Barcelona School of Fine Arts at the age of 14 in just one day and was allowed to skip the first two classes. According to one of many legends about the artist's life, his father, recognizing the extraordinary talent of his son, gave him his brushes and palette and vowed to paint never again in his life.
